At St Paul’s our goal is to:

  • welcome all people unconditionally in the name of Christ
  • preach and teach God’s Word in a way that is relevant and meaningful for people’s lives
  • value variety in worship as God serves us through Word and Sacrament
  • nurture each person toward maturity in their relationship with Christ
  • witness to Christ and serve people in our local community and beyond
  • support our households in faith development and mission
  • celebrate the presence, journey, and gifts of different generations and cultures
  • equip and enable people to serve God with their gifts, talents, and resources
  • actively support the Lutheran Church of Australia and work together with the local Christian community to share the Gospel
  • seek God’s will and direction through committed prayer

 St Paul's Offers:

  • A variety of styles of worship
  • Social groups and learning for all ages
  • Small groups for everyone
  • Baptisms, confirmations, weddings, funerals, counselling

What do Lutherans Believe?

Lutherans believe that God offers his eternal love to humans as a gift - it is not something that they can earn by what they do.  In Christ Jesus, God has shown us that he accepts us as we are, with our many failings.  In believing that alone, we are put right with God.  Lutherans sum this up by professing that we are 'justified by grace, through faith'. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life."  (John 3:16) Such faith empowers people to express love to their neighbours freely - not in an effort to win God's salvation, but in praise of the God who loves us unconditionally and eternally.  Lutherans believe in the Holy Trinity, one God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
