The Old Testament reading takes Abram on a journey of trust. God calls Abram out of all his comfort zones. God calls Abram to go on a journey to a foreign away land. He’s to give up all that he’s humanly relied upon and to trust in God and God’s promise alone. Today’s Psalm is Psalm 121 where God promises us that he will not sleep in his care and love for us and on our life’s journey he will watch over us and not let us fall or stumble. God calls us to go on a journey of faith in him where, like Abram, he promises to bless us. Are you ready to answer the call? [Lent 2]
