Christians worldwide pray the Lord's Prayer fervently, with millions of repetitions each day. When we pray "your Kingdom come”, we seek God's rule and presence in our lives. Jesus’ unexpected parables of the mustard seed, yeast, and treasure, when heard afresh, show how God's kingdom grows, and transforms us. In our baptism, God shows us that we are his precious treasure, and part of His eternal family. We gather together to grow in our understanding of God's love, and to experience the Holy Spirit nurturing us in our identity as precious treasure in God's kingdom. [Pentecost 9]
