Today we are invited to Martha’s home to visit there with Jesus. We’ll meet two disciples: Martha and Mary. Martha is very busy preparing everything for Jesus, whilst Mary sits at Jesus’ feet enjoying his presence for her. Martha complains to Jesus that he should tell Mary to help. But Jesus gives a surprising response to Martha, and for us to hear too. We must all first learn to sit at Jesus’ feet before we can serve. [Pentecost 6]
