St Paul's has a very active ministry profile.

Children, youth and families are a precious part of our church family.  They are always welcome in every worship service at St Paul's.

Groups and activites for Children and Families include FISH (Families Integrating Sundays and Home) and mainly music.

For Youth and Families, groups and activities include SPY (St Paul's Youth) and Safe House.  We believe our youth ministry is not just on Sundays and Friday nights when we gather in the church building, but also during the week in homes.  Families are equipped with resources and ideas to do this through the SPY Website.  You can also ask to join our private Facebook group for updates and information.

Activities during this time may include Bible stories, craft activities, games, music, movement and play.

Milestones Ministry

Celebrating life in faith together

Milestones Ministry is a way for the community of St Paul's to celebrate with you the promises made in baptism. It also provides an opportunity to be honoured, supported and blessed as a family as we grow in faith together.

Each Milestone is marked with an event for you and your child to attend. This is an opportunity to explore how God is with us in every stage of our life and faith journey. Milestones are celebrated in worship through prayer and blessing. Each child participating will receive a small gift from the congregation and a reminder of God's constant love and care for them.

Visit the Milestones page on our FISH website.

SPY (St Paul's Youth)

Our Friday evening activities are for young people in Years 7 to 12, with the dual purpose of getting together to enjoy fun, engaging activities, as well as building biblical literacy, developing theological understanding of concepts such as grace, and exploring what it means to live as a Christian through group discussion and quiet time.

SPY is currently on Zoom, during term time.

Safe House

Our Safe House ministry involves secondary school students and beyond.  Safe House is a small group ministry designed to nurture faith outside the church building by inviting Christ into the "everydayness" and "everywhereness" of life, and is held in family homes.

Time: 1st Friday of the month at 7.30pm, during term time - currently suspended.

Confirmation

Our Confirmation program typically involves those in Year 9 and upwards.  The Confirmation program includes writing a Faith Statement, completing a Creative Project based on the Faith Statement, wrestling with and asking tough questions, reflecting on Worship and sermons, and assessing gifts and talents, and faith personalities.

Youth Camp

Each year we hold a Youth Camp for those attending SPY and Confirmation.  Camp attendance is strongly encouraged for those wishing to be confirmed.

Christian Life Week camps allow many young people to experience a closer relationship with God, and the church family.  Christian Life Week is a time and place where young people can be themselves, explore faith and life issues, and discover what living a Christian life really means.

CLW is run twice a year in the school holidays at Tandara Lutheran Camp in Halls Gap, the heart of the Grampians.

You can find out more on our Victorian District wesbite, including ways to connect with our LCA Youth Ministry coordinator.  Information about LYV (Lutheran Youth Victoria) and the CLW camps can also be found on the LYV FaceBook page.

Easter Camp takes place every year from Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday, at Araluen Lutheran Camp, on the Great Ocean Road.  It provides an opportunity for young people to go deeper with their faith and explore Christ's sacrifice on the cross, through small group activities and whole camp worship.

Pastoral Care is the way we all share the love, compassion and comfort of Christ with one another and with our community. The Apostle Paul calls on us to "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way, you will fulfil the law of Christ." (Gal. 6:2).

Pastoral Care at St Paul's takes place through caring relationships, small groups, fellowship activities, prayer. We are all pastoral carers because every disciple of Jesus is called to love God and their neighbour.

Pastoral Care at St Paul's is overseen by our coordinator, Cathy Beaton, and our pastors.
