Introducing GOD provides context to some of the deep questions and explores them in an intelligent and profound way.

In the box are just some of the themes explored in the Introducing GOD course offered at St Paul's. The course begins with an Introductory Session, 7-9.30pm Thursday April 16, then continues over eight Thursday nights concluding on Thursday June 18. Each session starts at 7pm with a meal, followed by a DVD presentation around a passage of scripture (beginning at Genesis and working through to Revelation) and a small group discussion over coffee, concluding promptly at 9.30pm.

Introducing God is about relationship: relationship with God, and with others in our community.

You might like the opportunity to explore/refresh your own relationship with God. Perhaps in the process you might find you are better able to share what you believe with others in your network of relationships, who are asking questions about God and who want to know why you believe what you do.

Introducing God

Or you may feel more comfortable inviting enquiring friends along to Introducing God and attending with them, providing plenty of opportunities to share and discuss reactions together.

Or you may simply like to attend as a congregational support to help build relationship with those who come to the course as newcomers to St Paul's.

I found Introducing GOD provided a clear way to share my faith in a non-threatening environment. It was a good rehearsal and helped me to share in situations later on that were a little more confrontational. And an added bonus was the good food and sharing a meal together.

Without the background of Introducing GOD I wouldn't have been able to start up my new small group.

If you would like to know a little more about Introducing GOD or would like to give something to your friends and family who are not yet in a relationship with God, we have a book Introducing GOD: Meeting the God who loves us, available in our book shop ($4). Each chapter is based on material from the weekly presentations and ends with stories of people who have come into a relationship with God. The style of writing and the personal stories are specifically aimed at engaging 21st century people.

Of course, I would also love to hear from you if you are able to help with Introducing GOD in any way (see forms still available in the foyer), and your prayer support for this vital ministry is greatly appreciated.

I really enjoyed meeting new people who were interested in Jesus and appreciated being able to learn more about Jesus from others who were also searching.
