Pensées ("Thoughts") is a collection of fragments of this brilliant mathematician and physicist's unfinished apologia to Christianity. Pascal discusses many issues - the nature of miracles, prophecies and particularly the wretched human condition. His famous essay, The Wager is also included. While it is incomplete and fragmented, and therefore at times difficult to follow, it is honestly written with passion and conviction, not only in theological but also in metaphysical and philosophical terms.
