Happy New (Ministry) Year
Publication day, February 4, is “Big Sunday” at St Paul's, and we’re leaping straight back into most of our ministry programs for the new year — well, it’s not really so new any more. (It’s about ten percent gone, after all!)
Next Sunday (February 11), why not make it down the street to Box Hill Gardens for our annual Church picnic. Jump in any time from about 12 noon (or after the 11am service), and pick a good spot under the shady trees. BYO absolutely everything — something to sit on, to drink, and to eat (public BBQs are available). And don’t forget to slip slop slap.
Pretty much like last year (shown above), there’ll be a few shenanigans, but nothing you need to do if you don’t feel like it. There’s plenty of time to relax in the shade, lift a glass, and chat with family and friends around you.
Come and enjoy! You’re welcome.
Beware the past
You never know when it will come back to haunt you
Below is the Jeffcott House photo from Immanuel College (Adelaide, South Australia) in 1979.
The Year 12 girl near the centre is listed as Jane Glatz [Sports’ Captain]. Twenty-eight years later, she vaguely recalls a face...
And this happy young First Year boy is Andrew Brook. Welcome, Mr Brook!
Seniors' Snippet
It is quite some time since the December meeting when we all tucked into fine food at the Christmas luncheon.
We thank the good people who worked hard to have the new amplification installed in the Community Room in time for that meeting. Dawn voted it A1 for simplicity in setting up and also for the quality of the sound.
We look forward to the first meeting for 2007 which will be held on Thursday February 8 at 12 noon in the Community Room. No guest speaker — just “catch up time” for a good chat.
