Review of Ministry

The Council discussed the outcomes from the review of ministry for Pastor Greg conducted on 19 December 2006. The next steps were for the congregation (via Church Council) and Pastor Greg to independently advise the District President of their desire to regularise the call.

Pastoral Assistant – Youth & Family Ministry

Council discussed the status of the recruitment for this role, which had been advertised prior to Christmas.  Council noted Cathy Beaton’s contribution in covering the youth ministry until an appointment was made and endorsed an increase in her hours from 12 to 20 per week.

Work on Manse

Council acknowledged the considerable contribution of John Currie and others in carrying out works on the Manse in preparation for the arrival of the Brook family.  It was agreed that this contribution would be acknowledged in Inside Story.

Finance

The Council noted the income and expenses for the period 1 October 2006 to 16 January 2007 and noted that collections were presently higher than budgeted.
