The Cosmic Trilogy, C.S. Lewis

Out Of The Silent Planet
Perelandra (a.k.a. Voyage To Venus)
That Hideous Strength

This science-fiction/fantasy trilogy is a record of the adventures of Dr Ransom. In Out Of The Silent Planet, Ransom travels to Malacandra, where he meets exotic and wonderful creatures as he tries to prevent the planet being plundered. In Perelandra, he is sent to the unfallen world of Venus, to contend with a man possessed by evil who is tempting the Green Lady, the 'Eve' of Perelandra. In the third and final part, That Hideous Strength, a secret organization planted in a small English town devises an insidious plan to socially engineer the world in an inhumane conspiracy against humankind.

This trilogy is a parallel to the cosmic battle between good and evil, the apocalypse, as well as the philosophical contrast and conflict between the modern demythologized reductionism and deconstructionism versus Christian (anti-reductionist) philosophy.
