Unexpected harvest

Getting into small groups opens a new vista

Members of small groups benefit in different ways. In my group sometimes very definite viewpoints are brought to the dinner table (once a month at a member's home) which results in discussions on world affairs, family matters, social problems — no subject is off-limits. We talk freely in a supportive environment.

Small Group

We belly-laugh at our jokes, sympathise with one another, encourage one another, try to remember one another's birthdays(!) and study a section of scripture or a known Christian author. We also have "extra" social outings.

The group is diverse in background, careers, and life experiences, and it has taken time to meet the challenge of getting to know one another. Some groups may be formed by people who are already comfortable with one another, but I would encourage others to take a step in faith and venture into unfamiliar territory.
