Reggie bursts through the front door, evidently not tired from his day at school. After all, grade three isn't exactly difficult. He throws his bag into his room and walks to the kitchen. Like most kids, he is hungry and could scoff down a horse at this time. As he walks into the kitchen, his father is standing at the bench chopping carrots.

"You're back, I didn't hear you."

"Oh hey dad, didn't know you were taking a day off," answers Reggie.

"Yeah, I needed the rest, you know - I know I work too many hours. I thought I should be home more often," answers Dave.

Reggie opens the door of the fridge and takes a browse of all the goodies inside. As he does, he asks, "So you're not going to the Blue Oyster tonight then?"

"No," Dave replies. "Why?"

"Nothing. Just wondering. I was thinking of going to Daisy's tonight but now that you're here, how about after school on Friday? May I go?"

"I thought - what's her name?, that's right, it's Ella - doesn't like you two playing together?" asks Dave, a little concerned.

"Nah, that's Janet," Reggie dismisses casually.

"I thought Daisy's mum's name is Ella?" asks Dave.

"Yeah, but the mum you're referring to is actually Janet," answers Reggie. "So can I go to Daisy's on Friday then?"

Dave frowns a little, he hesitates but then answers, "Um... Go ask your dad when he comes home."
