In Pastor Andrew's absence, Pastor Greg played a sermon taken from the Internet which he thought would interest the group.

An 85 year old American spoke on the topic of aging.  Briefly, he said that old age results from a mixture of experience and deterioration. He encouraged the aged to trust in God and to show and receive love, as it is proven to prolong life. We are to pass on that love, encouragement, and wisdom to all — especially the following generations. The speaker handled the subject with gentle humour to which many of us related.

During lunch, Janet Dittrich gave an informal talk about the trip she and her sister Lynette undertook last year.She showed many interesting photos from their travels through China, Europe, and Scandinavia. Many thanks to Janet who gave up her lunch hour to talk to us.

The August meeting will be lunch at the Manhattan Hotel at the corner of Heatherdale and Canterbury Roads, Ringwood. Anyone in need of a ride to the venue on that day should contact Dawn at 9898 3985.
