August 17 – Fellowship and Meeting Day This is the part of the month where we take the pulse of our church community by just 'hanging out' and talking about what has gone on within the past month and looking ahead to the next. August 24 –Digging Deeper with Cross generational Dialogue1 A special look at 'Spiritual Direction' for both students and their mentors. "Do not flatter the wealthy, and avoid the society of the great. Associate rather with the humble and simple, the devout, and the virtuous, and converse with them on such things as edify." Thomas 'a Kempis

Thomas 'a Kempis H2H (Head 2 the Heart) Confirmation6.15–8.00pm Friday nights especially for year 7–9 students. Also welcome are parents and persons of all ages wishing to share and grow in their understanding of the basics of the Christian Faith as presented by Martin Luther in his Small Catechism. August 1 – Theme Event: Daily Bread (Matt 6:11) God gives life one day at a time. The joys, pains, challenges and struggles all come in bite sized chunks. Don't spend your time worrying about tomorrow. You will miss out on today. Let tomorrow's worries be tomorrow's worries. Today is all you have. Don't waste it. It is too precious a gift to lose. August 15 – Theme Event: Forgive Us (Matt 6:12) Unforgiven sin is an infected sliver, festering beneath the surface of our lives. A grudge is a ravenous worm eating at the root of your health. Unless we deal with the problems in our hearts, they will deal with us. Unless we attempt the radical surgery of confessing the sin, anger, or grudge, those evils within can only lead to trouble. Expecting God to forgive us without our willingness to forgive others will only lead to callousness, poisoned relationships, and death. The Fifth Petition is a dangerous prayer. We are asking God not to forgive us unless we are willing to forgive others. So, what now? August 29 – H2H Fellowship/Service: 40 Hour Famine This year the Famine is raising funds to help kids in India who are denied their basic childhood rights and are forced into child labour, trafficking and slavery. Famine funds will be used to raise awareness, provide opportunities for poor families to generate income, fight to ensure that laws to protect children are enforced, and provide rehabilitation services for exploited children. Funds will also continue to support 40 Hour Famine food security projects in Laos and East Timor, and provide relief for poor countries in times of emergency. SALTLet me tell you why you are here. You're here to be salt seasoning that brings out the God flavours of this earth. (Matt 5:13 The Message) August 24 – Leading Frogma. Brief meeting to follow, with team member reporting and planning discussion. 1. A cross generational dialogue is an intentional gathering of different generations with the purpose of learning from each other's unique perspective. Formerly known as Intentional intergenerational dialogues, 'cross generational' better describes this intergenerational focus within a Christian faith community. By His Spirit, Christ and the Cross remains central to our gatherings. {moscomment} |

The FROGMA Youth will be planning and leading the 10 August Family Service. Today we fine tune our plans as well as take some time to talk about what 'Stewardship' means.
