40 Hour FamineThe Need: Millions of kids in India are exploited, being trafficked into child labour and slavery. By doing the 40 Hour Famine you're being part of the solution. Money raised will help World Vision protect kids from child labour and slavery, and give them back their basic child rights. What is the Famine? Going without something that really matters to you for 40 hours (8 hours for primary school students). Participants should get friends and family to support their efforts with a donation. Who: For year 7–12 students When: Friday 29 August 6.00pm until noon Saturday, then Sunday morning 10.00–11.00am Where: St Paul's and selected areas of the local community. How: Talk to Matt for details including registration and fundraising forms. Every $40 raised helps eight kids for one month! {moscomment} |
