The Everlasting Man, G.K. Chesterton |
|
The Everlasting Man is Chesterton's attempt at an "Outline of History". Split into two parts, in the first, On The Creature Called Man, he criticizes man's philosophy, thoughts and views of history and religion amongst other interrelated matters. In the second part, On The Man Called Christ, he attempts to describe the ineffably shocking uniqueness of Christ and the Church and how it is true - that the Christian view of history and the world is the only one which fits and makes sense.
