H2H Dates for 2008 (subject to change).

07.MAR - Family Information Night

14.MAR - Kickoff Event

24.MAR - 28.APR - Camp
The 10 Commandments

11.APR - The 10 Commandments
The 10 Commandments Review

02.MAY - The 10 Commandments + Fellowship/Service Night
Off to the cinemas to see "The Ten Commandments" then returning to St Paul's to help with clean-up and arrangements needed for the Women's Conference being held there.

16.MAY - Our Father
Our Father in Heaven...(Matt 6:9a)
Jesus says God is "Our Father." So what? Our Father? How could anyone in Jesus' day dare to address God as Father? People didn't even risk saying the word for God (YHWH) out loud for fear of taking God's name in vain. If God is really my loving parent, how will it affect my life? My fears? My decisions? My relationships with others? My prayer life? My worship schedule?

30.MAY - Hallowed Be Thy Name
There is one name that calls for more respect and reverence than any other name in the universe. It has been spoken throughout history in every language on every continent... That name is God's name.

13.JUN - Thy Kingdom Come
Society will never be perfect, but we can still work for the kingdom. We can never know God fully on this side of eternity, but we can catch a glimpse of the kingdom if we ask the Holy Spirit to enter our hearts. Our families, communities, and relationships are broken, but they can be enriched, strengthened and enhanced when we pray for, yearn for and work for God's reign in our lives.

27.JUN - It's Game Night
How about a winter evening with friends, good food and fun games? Both large group and small group games will be offered. Bring some food to share as well as a favorite board game. Also, plan to bring a friend who is not a part of St Paul's congregation and what about a parent?! Could be fun!?

18.JUL - Thy Will Be Done
We can have it our way, or we can have it God's way. Our way leads to death. God's way leads to life. Any questions? So, what now?

01.AUG - Give Us This Day Our Daily Bread
God gives life one day at a time. The joys, pains, challenges and struggles all come in bite-size chunks. Don't spend your time worrying about tomorrow. You will miss out on today. Let tomorrow's worries be tomorrow's worries. Today is all you have. Don't waste it. It is too precious a gift to lose.

15.AUG - Forgive Us
Unforgiven sin is an infected sliver, festering beneath the surface of our lives. A grudge is a ravenous worm eating at the root of your health. Unless we deal with the problems in our hearts, they will deal with us. Unless we attempt the radical surgery of confessing the sin, anger, or grudge, those evils within can only lead to trouble. Expecting God to forgive us without our willingness to forgive others will only lead to callousness, poisoned relationships, and death. The Fifth Petition is a dangerous prayer. We are asking God not to forgive unless we are willing to forgive others. So, what now?

29.AUG - H2H Fellowship/Service: 40 Hour Famine
This year the Famine is raising funds to help kids in India who are denied their basic childhood rights and are forced into child labour, trafficking and slavery. Famine funds will be used to raise awareness, provide income-generation opportunities for poor families, fight to ensure that laws to protect children are enforced, and provide rehabilitation services for exploited children. Funds will also continue to support 40 Hour Famine food security projects in Laos and East Timor, and provide relief for poor countries in times of emergency.

10.OCT - Confessing My Faith
Confessing My Faith... Like the disciples, we have been given by God the words, wisdom and love to transform this world. It is a night to focus on what it means to "confirm" one's faith.

17.OCT - Time Of Trial/Deliver Us From Evil
Life is filled with ample reasons to despair. If you're going to live, there will be times when you are tested, torn, and tempted. But you don't have to be defeated. The power of God is yours for the asking. And even when you can't hold yourself, Jesus can hold you.

ALL GUYS (Year 7 to 30 year olds) will be headed to FIGHT NIGHTS at St Hilary's Anglican Church, 12 John St, Kew... Leave from St Paul's at 6:30p.m. and return at 10:15p.m. (Ministry program goes from 7:00p.m.-9:45p.m.). Cost is $15 to be paid at the door.

ALL GIRLS will have a time and place to engage in fun and meaningful conversation about the pressures that are faced being a young lady in this highly "perfectionistic" society. Being who God has made you, is what matters! 6:30p.m.-8:15p.m. here at St Paul's.

A regular 6:15p.m. meal will be served prior to these unique yet connected events.

31.AUG - Fellowship Night
Come in your best detective, spy etc. costume! Enjoy a mystery dinner and then a night of life size CLUE that will take you through-out the church to find out "Who Dunnit?" ($5 meal donation, please)

02.NOV - Student & Mentor Gatherings
Following the last morning service (~12:15) Year 9 Students and their Mentors will meet for a meal, work on their Confirmation Test and prepare for the upcoming "Affirmation of Baptism" rite.

07.NOV - Student & Mentor Gatherings
The same as above, but hopefully have most everything completed!

14.NOV - The Doxology
The Eternal Creator of the Universe has given us everything we are, see, feel, and possess. From the infinite glory of the cosmos to the love in our hearts, from the pulsing of the countless suns to the pulsing of the blood through our veins, all of this master creation bears witness to the master creator. The god who created the Universe and gave us life and breath calls us to praise God's glory. So, what now?

21.NOV - Service Rehearsal
This is for Parents/Guardians and Students. After a meal, Students will run through the Confirmation Service.

22.NOV - Confirmation Service
Confirmation Service/Affirmation Of Baptism Rite starting at 4:00p.m.
